History

St. Andrews Tavern has been proudly serving Altamonte Springs since 1996. We're a family-run, British pub with a deep love for community, football (the real kind!), and a proper pint.

It all started when Nick Walker and his parents, John Rowlands and Dorothy (Dot), brought their dream to life. John—who once played professional football in the UK and in the American Soccer League alongside the legendary George Best—had a long history of running pubs back in Britain. When the family moved to Central Florida to be closer to relatives, opening an authentic local pub just made sense.

Jackie - The Landlady

In 2001, Jackie joined the family after meeting Nick in 1996. A dual citizen of the UK and USA, Jackie moved to Florida for high school and later graduated from FSU with a degree in Social Work. When John and Dot retired in 2005, Nick and Jackie proudly carried on the family legacy together.

After losing Nick in 2021, Jackie became the sole proprietor of St. Andrews Tavern. She's still a regular face around the pub—whether it's behind the bar, hosting Thursday night poker, or competing in the steel tip darts league. She's also known for her impressive collection of British Royal Family memorabilia.
